2022 Spring Wines

Allegretto Wines encompasses two vineyards within two different sub-appellations of Paso Robles.  Our estate and single vineyard wines are sourced from the vineyards that surround the Allegretto Resort in the Estrella District, as well as our westside vineyard in the Willow Creek District.

Located on the east side of Paso Robles at 807 feet, Allegretto Vineyard was planted in 2010, and it includes 7 acres of vines.  The east side of Paso Robles enjoys a warmer climate. The soils from this vineyard are alluvial in nature, and include fine sandy and clay loams.

The Willow Creek Vineyard was established in 1997, and currently encompasses 18 acres of vines. The west side of Paso Robles can experience diurnal temperature swings of 30-40 degrees.  The vines grow in limestone and calcareous soils and sits at elevations of 1,600-1800 feet and can have 10” or more of rainfall yearly

Allegretto Wines follow biodynamic farming practices, and calendar providing detailed astronomical information, and indications of optimal times for sowing, transplanting, cultivation, harvesting and using the biodynamic preparations. Biodynamic practices promote the enlivening forces that work dynamically within the soil, compost, and plants to ultimately provide us with healthier bodies, and a healthier planet.
